An important question

Does anyone know a good, mouthful-of-syllables, recognizably ashkenazi-Jewish name? I need one for a story. Depending on who -- if anyone -- buys it, the story will probably show up here.

My first thought was katzenellenbogen, but since it's been taken, how about Finkelstein? Or you could always use our very own Scheibengraber . . . add a stein on it for good luck!

Yeah but Scheibengraber isn't remotely Jewish... my dad's Cherokee and was adopted by a German dude who's named after a priest or something.

fake:Katzenellenbogen is cliched.
Mottel:I thought of Scheibengraber but adding a stein on is genius Mottel. Owitz might work too.
le7: If it's German and it got tacked onto a Jew somewhere, then it's yiddish.

The choices:
Klotzaiyer
Unykvetcher
Sheibengrabersteinowitz

It's Scheibengrabersteinowitz

Scheibengrabersteinowitzenbergenowskyov.

But seriously, anything beyond Scheibengraberstein is a bit too much.

There's a tape somewhere where the guy's name is Berel Wolvovovovovovsky, or something like that, I forget.

I've written the backstory already. Will start on the centerpiece as soon as my term paper gets in.
